Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CodexSkin at codexskin.online, including the Skin Library, free generators, checkout, downloads, and related docs.

By creating an account, buying a product, or downloading a package, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

CodexSkin sells ready-made Codex skins (signed .codexskin packages) and optional DIY export credits, plus access to a macOS Engine download when available.

• Single Skin — unlock one catalog skin
• 5-Skin Pack — unlock any five catalog skins
• All Skins — unlock the catalog snapshot available at purchase time (new skins added later are sold separately)
• Free tools — browser preview generators that do not require purchase

Unofficial product. CodexSkin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. “Codex” refers to the third-party desktop app you already install yourself.

Purchases require a signed-in account. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure. Skin unlocks are bound to the purchasing account; we may refuse transfers between accounts except as required by law or our support process.

When you buy a skin (or claim a pack credit), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use that skin with the CodexSkin Engine on devices you control, for your own Codex desktop experience.

You may not:

• Resell, rent, or publicly redistribute signed packages or license files
• Share entitlement credentials to bypass payment
• Remove or forge license signatures
• Use CodexSkin materials to imply OpenAI endorsement
• Use character art in ways that infringe third-party IP outside the personal desktop use granted here

Ownership of the underlying artwork and package format remains with CodexSkin or its licensors. Your purchase buys a license, not ownership of the source assets.

Paid skin install packages are currently delivered for macOS only. Guides that mention Windows may describe color themes or legacy paths; they do not promise feature parity for paid skins. Compatibility depends on your Codex version and the active Engine release shown at download time.

Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise and are one-time (not subscription) for the Skin Library plans. Taxes may apply based on your location and the payment processor. By completing checkout you authorize the charge for the selected plan.

Skin packages are digital goods delivered immediately after payment. Because of that:

• If checkout fails or you are charged without receiving an entitlement, contact support and we will fix delivery or refund the charge.
• If you have not downloaded a skin package yet, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
• If you already downloaded a signed package, refunds are discretionary (for example duplicate purchases or a clear Engine defect we cannot remediate).
• Chargebacks without contacting support first may result in account suspension while we investigate.

Do not use the site or Engine to:

• Attack, scrape abusively, or overload our services
• Circumvent license checks or payment
• Upload unlawful or infringing content into generators
• Violate applicable law

The site, skins, and Engine are provided “as is”. Desktop injection depends on third-party Codex builds we do not control. We do not warrant uninterrupted compatibility with every future Codex update. Always use Verify / Restore if something looks wrong, and keep backups of important work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodexSkin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for issues caused by Codex itself, your network, or misuse of the Engine. Our total liability for a claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

We may suspend access if we reasonably believe there is fraud, license abuse, or a Terms violation. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that should survive (license restrictions, payment, liability, refunds already processed) continue after termination.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes to paid entitlements already purchased will not remove skins you lawfully unlocked, except where required for security, legal, or fraud reasons.
